Sweeping in the dark
Here is my nightly thought, as today is Friday, and normally ppl r gathering together running out 2 the mall 2 get some cute boots 2 wear 2 the club. I want to drop this n ur spirit. Today, as I was cooking I found myself sweeping the kitchen again wit the lights off. N as I continued sweeping, the Lord shed Light on me sweeping in the dark. He said, you sweep n the dark becuz u dont want to know how dirty the floor really is, n if u cut the light on u would know that u have more to sweep. N u having the light on would truly show you how much further u have to go 2 sweep the kitchen clean. Is this not the same thing with my ppl, they would rather continue sweeping in the dark. They fear havin the Light on becuz they fear how dirty they really are, and them turning the Light of My Son on would show them how much more sweeping that they have left to do. WOW..I am stunned at His brilliance...May our God keep you on the vine. EBH
This Life Belongs to God
There are so many religions today that it has become hard to keep track. But, the one I choose to obey is: In the Beginning God created the heavens and earth. And that He sent His son that whosever shall believe on Him shall have everlasting life. I choose to obey the word of God without any pauses. I choose to eat as an appetizer, entree, and desert the King James Version, Holy Bible. I have made a conscious choice to serve every word that the Lord on High has inspired in the King James Bible.
I know that there has been discussions throughout the history of mankind, post fall that suggest that what God has spoken, and what He hasn't. And I rather not get into all of the specifics because none of there bases originate with God. I rather go with the fulfillment aspects ingrained in the King James Version. What we see today has been explained in detail in the King James Version Bible. There is nothing that could ever happen on earth that I can not get a scripture for, so I choose to live and model my life after it. I choose to obey the words, because I believe that God is able to perform every word written within it. I chose to obey God, because this life that I have belongs to Him. EBH

Wanting to be a rapper is no different then being an author
Words of Wisdom...Can I tell you the truth about how wanting to be a rapper is no different than wanting to be an author, according to scripture? One conversation that I use to have with my husband about rap was that the person who is rapping isn't to blame for the lyrics becuz he/she didn't write them most of the time. Well, this is far from the truth.
To be a rapper, or at least one that makes some money is virtually impossible. Let me show you how...when you are starting out you are writing on a sheet on paper your personal testimony, of what you been through, or what someone took you through. You are spilling your life on this sheet of paper. And as you go on further you start looking for a beat to rap it to, if you don't already have one. You find out that you could be a producer becuz you produced a demo. See, this is all a producer does is complete a song, whether they ask one of their friends to come on to the track, and make it better. See, you couldn't get lil Wayne to come on the track, but certain producers could. And soon as he gets on the track your demo/single takes off.
Okay, are you looking at this situation and saying what's wrong with that at least you are making money? But this isn't the truth. When you took the producing writes out your hand, you gave copyright permission of the song which is your testimony of what you been through, and placed it in the hands of someone else who did not cry the tears, or endure the physical pain you did. When you saw your mommy get high, and go in the room with the dude she didn't know to get some money....that is what you went through not some producer. You had to suffer, and you came out alive. How much is all of that worth? Because as soon as your song hits iTunes, people listening is only truly affected by your part, when your part said, "Nobody could be trusted everybody broke and disgusted, mommy tricking in da next room, felt like bussin dude in the head wit a iron broom."
See, ppl can relate to your part because that's your testimony, the hook only got ppl to dance in the club, but your part actually got ppl to buy it. This is know different from an author. We write books either about our testimony or what we hope to be our testimony called fantasy. We do all the work, and give our rights over to a publishing company who is know different from a music producer. They take our work, and they get us hooked up with someone that could say they read the book just like lil wayne on the rappers track. And based upon that your book takes off, but it has costyou. Becuz ppl didn't keep purchasing the book becuz someone reviewed it. They purchased it becuz your testimony affected them. And had you trusted God enough to draw the people your piece of paper called your life could have brought you more money in your hands then in the hands of another.
Do you know this is scripture? The bible tells us we have over come by the blood of the land, and by the words of our testimony. The bible also says tell them what the Lord has done, how He brought you out. If we take these two biblical principles and put a cost on them you can calculate how much your problems are worth. If your rap song was worth at the end when all the hyped died down worth 80,000. Say they gave you a 5000 advance. But they told you the beat cost, the producer, and to get Wayne on cost.
So, they tell you you owe them some money back. So, what do you do...you go in the studio and slave. You see that you make the best music when you are high, and so you are using your advance money to get higher, so that you can get another hit. But, you are burning the 5 stacks becuz getting high isn't free, and nor is getting fitted for the club, as you are in there every other night so that you can make a name for yourself; this surely isn't free either. So, you are broke and you are back on the block you left. You are back out there hustling so you can go back in the studio.
My Living and Breathing God only if you stopped, and took a good look around you. You mean more to the label then you think, you have earning potential. Your life/ testimony is powerful, but they need you at their mercy, so they created a situation for you called desperation. You made them more money than what you knew, and if they told you how much money you actually made them you would shop yourself around, demanding more money. But, seeing as they told you that you owe them, you now are stuck and desperate. Now you are going to work harder not knowing that it has always been the two biblical principles operating in your life drawing ppl to overcome the same way you did....stay tuned in. More next week. Everything that I have is the Lord's do with it however thou please!
Here is what I am thinking..everyday we wake up there is a cloud of uncertainty in the air. You don't know if you will catch a cold, or go outside and something is going to be wrong with your car. There are so many uncertainties. You could get a call telling you that something bad has happened to someone you love, causes your world to be flipped upside down. Which brings me to what God says about uncertainty. For it was God who brought Job's name up to satan regarding all that Job had, which lent itself to the cloud of uncertainty that surrounded Job. But as The Almighty God and satan were conversing; satan told God that He knew why he hadn't been tampering with Job, and that it was because God had put a hedge of protection around him. And after that satan told God, if you let me tamper with all that he has, he would curse you. And so the bible teaches us that God told satan that all that Job he had was in his power to take, except for his life....
Allow me to say something to you....all that any of us have is in God's power to do whatever He chooses to do with it. For it was Job that said naked as I came into this world, and naked shall I leave. Everything we have is in God's power including our life. And after Job had awaken out of his state of despair, God told Job had you commanded the morning....Wow! Everything is truly the Lord's but in reading the word of God I am sold on the fact that everyday each of us wake up. We wake up to the same level of uncertainty that Job had, and the only way to move God's hand and exercise satan's defeat is to command the morning. Sowing Seeds on Dry Places..
A thought before bed: Today I went to the grocery store with my girls. And as I was waiting to have my grocery bill reduced becuz there was a sale *buy bread get 0.55 cent off a gal of milk*, which the sale isn't the point I am trying to make. The point I want to make is that there was a man standing in line in front of me. He approached the counter, and now he was standing next to me. He stood there jittery with a brown bag from another store in his hand, and a receipt from walmart, as he was standing in the line at Kroger. The receipt was old and worn, and did not match how new the packages looked inside the bag. And instantly I knew what was happening. The man looked at the clerk, and said that he wanted to return the items becuz his grandmother had died. And shortly after he said that his phone rung with someone one on the other line helping him win over the clerk. And as I stood there I began to pray for him. As I was praying I wanted so bad to have a fifty dollar bill on me, so that I could sow a seed into his life.....but as I was standing there instantly so many things became clear to me.
The word of God teaches us that we do not war against flesh and blood. And that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. So, this being the infallible truth of God, how do we then take a natural substance rather it be Meth, Weed, Crack, or any other kind of substance and place it into a flesh and blood body, and affect it? How can we take these things and cause such as difference in the flesh and blood body that God said that we do not war against? Okay, I got it! The Almighty God sent Jesus not to save the flesh and blood. He sent him to save our souls. And according to scripture our soul is not made of flesh and blood. The soul is our mind, will, emotions, and our intellect. Which is what we can see physically through the flesh and blood....Got it!
If you don't understand what I am saying, recall the last time that you looked at yourself in the mirror. Or for that matter go look at yourself right now in a mirror..and as you are holding the mirror up to your face or standing in front of it. Try not to move. As you are standing still you are getting a good look at your flesh and blood. But, take a few seconds, and smile into the mirror, or laugh. Try fake crying....and then answer this question while you are still looking, if I had to dial one number who would it be? And as you answered this question take another look in the same mirror because everything that you did moving was your soul, and everything affected by you moving was your flesh and blood. And Jesus came to save the part of you causing all the movement. He came to save your soul, because your flesh and blood only obeys what Your soul tells it to. So, getting back to the main point; when you take any substance into your body that God didn't say was good. You are not or the man that was in the store is not taking those substances because your flesh and blood wanted to....He took it or You took it because your soul made you do it. And this is why I wanted to have a fifty dollar bill on me.
And so I wanted to sow a seed, so that the Almighty God would do with my seed, as He did with His. He sent Jesus to save our soul, not our flesh. And because I was created in the image and likeness of God, (I could never be Him, and nor do I want to be). But, I can act just like Him. I can sow a seed to cause any change that I want to happen in some one's life for the good. Because afterall I am His child!! Goodnight, and God's blessings be with us until the return of Our Christ Jesus. EBH

Speak up!
A lot of times we find that as we travel the walks of life, that we find people migrating on the same path as us. Some are walking alongside of us, others are behind, while up head there are a few. And as we are looking around at our own situation, at anytime our position could change relative to the other people walking. We could fall behind, or we could progess and get ahead of everyone else. Well, I have to come To understand that boldness can be prayed for, because the apostles prayed for boldness during the days of the early church. And in the word of God it says that the righteous are as bold as a lion. So, the next time you find yourself on the same path as others, Speak Up! Call to those that have falling behind, and tell them to get with it, and come on! Call to those who are ahead of you, and tell them you will be there shortly, Speakup! EBH

Pray Yourself to Sleep
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you tonight concerning Your blessed plan for rest. Father, I come to You tonight asking that You lie me safely down to sleep. In Your word it says that You will give us rest, and tonight I pray to You concerning this issue. I ask that my mind be free as I repent of all of my sins and transgressions, and that burdens are lifted as I think solely on Your word as I am falling to sleep. Let my mind be free from the cares of this world as I cast my cares on You, and pick up Your light yolk before I fall safely to sleep.
Father, as I sleep I ask that You command Your holy angels to stand guard around me, and to keep me lease I dash my foot against a stone. I pray the blood of Jesus in and around my home as a protective barrier, and I declare my home as a place of worship to You. I pray and denounce all wicked acts of satan and his demonic forces that would plot to harm a child of God. I ban all of his activities by night through terror, an arrow by day, and through the pestilence walking in darkness. Father, You said in Your word that a thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand but nothing shall by any means harm me. I have made the Lord my refugee, and in His holy peace do I sleep. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen and Amen

Share My World....You have dominion.
Here is what I am thinking...when a woman has a baby. She stands in the unknown. She doesn't know who the baby will resemble, or who features the baby will have the most. She doesn't know anything about this baby, other than she has to share her body with it for the next 9 to 10 months. Is this not similar to the free will choices God gives us. He places us here on earth, waiting to know who we will resemble. Will we follow evil, and resemble wickedness, or will we pick up His righteous cause and look like His Son Christ Jesus. He shares His earth with us, as the woman does with her body. And even though she knows a little about this child her expectations are high for it. I am thanking God for His high expectations...right now.

This Life Belongs to God
I want to take the time out here and introduce myself to you. I am Ebony Blackmon Humphrey. I am the Overseer of EBH Ministries Inc, and the author of Inside the Locker Room: A Journey of Faith and the Power of Prayer. I am on several other blogging sites, as I like the feel of different blogs sites. I have a Twitter account- EBH_Ministries, Facebook-Ebony Blackmon Humphrey, Tumblr-EBHMINISTRIES.TUMBLR.COM. I also have a website as well, and that is EBHMINISTRIES.COM. As you can see I am on several hot spots. I love to communicate what I hear the Spirit of Lord is saying, and my prayer is that one day I would only have to use one means of communication, as the Lord does the drawing. But, for now I appreciate any vehicle that the Lord would provide for me to communicate His holy word.
I love breaking down scripture into baby food, as the Lord would lead me. I love communicate scriptures, as this is the only truth that I know, and want to know. I love incorporating my study time into my blogs, as this is the only way to share biblical meat sessions, with biblical meat lovers. On occasion there are some on milk, but I look to the Lord with bringing them along. But, for know I want to introduce myself to you. Welcome....EBH
